Hewlett-Packard has announced having achieved a milestone in the industrial-wide and super-wide format printing with the installation of its 100th H-P Scitex digital printing solution in India. The H-P Scitex XL1500 installed at Positive Point Graphics Process Ltd, Ahmedabad, forms a part of the Rs.3.2-crore investment made by the local company on H-P Scitex and large-format printing solution so far, said Mr Pankaj Goswami, H-P's Country Category Manager, Large Format Industrial Printing (Imaging and Printing Group) and Mr Kirit Faldu, Managing Director of Positive Point. Imaging and printing is estimated to become a $ 300 billion business globally over the next four years.

HP installs its 100th digital printing solution in India
Ahmedabad, Apr 10 (UNI) Hewlett-Packard today installed its 100th HP Scitex digital printing solution for a leading digital printing house of Gujarat.
After Mexico and China, India becomes the third country to make this acquisition, Mr Pankaj Goswami, HP's Country Category Manager, told reporters here.
He said the machine will be installed in the Kolkata office of Positive Point, a leading digital printing house, which caters to the printing needs of major advertising agencies and design studios in India as well as abroad.
''The new HP Scitex digital printing solutions, gives innovative and more cost effective branding options to ensure more visibility to a brand. Priced in the range from Rs 45 lakhs to Rs two crores, it opens a clear path to super-printing success. It delivers a combination of high productivity and performance, cost effective production, and superb print quality,'' he said.
With this machine one can print almost any application, in almost any size, format or media, double-sided or backlit, Goswami said.
